Beginning with the Cube 2.0 build out on Broadway, 9.SQUARE has had the opportunity to work closely with local entrepreneur (and proud owner of Thursdays on First staple Mama Meg's Ice Cream Sandwiches) David Hewitt. David has a passion for starting new business endeavors and has a difficult time settling in for too long on one project.
So when we had an opportunity to work with David and his new business partner Johnny Mango of Johnny Mango Cabernet Catering fame we new that something fresh and innovative was in the works. Johnny has a long history of providing delicious food for events and private dinners with a personability and flair all his own. What these two have come up with is a fresh take on the "Chipotle"-style of fast food where the menu is simple and straightforward with a slew of toppings, sauces, and options that can make a custom designed pita sandwich as individual as your thumbprint.
Just opened (April 8th) in the newly renovated 1st Avenue Food Court, across from Newt's Express in the skyway level, Johnny Mango's PIta Cafe offers fresh pita wraps, salads, and drinks super fast for the lunchtime crowd. They started with an unfinished drywall room and created a custom commercial kitchen and front line to showcase their food, their clean and fresh environment, and simple, modern approach to superior customer service. Take a look at the transformation below from drab to fab and be sure to stop in for a meal today (tell them 9.SQUARE sent you).
